Job Summary
To solicit and respond to companies and organizations to purchase food & beverage, rent meeting space and ancillary services from the hotel. Represents the hotel with customers by telephone or in-person to solicit and close group and local catering business. Manages customer relationship by responding to inquiries, meeting with and entertaining clients, conducting property tours, promoting facilities and services, drafting contracts. Provides direction and supervision of meeting and/or catering logistics to catering staff. Experience in wedding market preferred.

Position Summary:
To creatively upsell all hotel features and highlights and to ensure that value paid is value received, not only in product, but in service and in ambiance. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: solicitation of direct-selling in the local catering market; providing catering services for social events held; communicating with clients prior to catered events; and to initiate, negotiate, and close contracts for all catered functions.
Requirements:
Ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, strong organization skills and at least 3 years of previous experience in the local corporate market, Delphi, and wedding planning. Experience in an upscale Hotel/Resort and certification as a wedding planner preferred.
