Lori recommends this style for all types of hair – fine or thick, straight or curly.
Shoulder length or slightly longer works best but if you need a little more oomph, consider a Hair Extension. Lori used a custom dyed piece for this series of photos to help create a fuller look for the model.
Styling Details

As she always does when creating a head full of curls, Lori used a small, medium and large curling iron to get a natural looking head of soft curls.
The hair piece received the same treatment and then all was loosely pinned up the back and sides for a tousled, chic look.
Focal Point

Crystal Hair Pins would be gorgeous scattered throughout this updo.

Lori made the pearl necklace the focus of this look and paired it with simple stud earrings.

Easy Does It

Because Lori and her team created this look for a beach wedding, they used the Soiree Silk Flower Clip next to the bun in back. The sheer fabric with a hint of sparkle is a terrific complement to the soft, easy style.

To create the updo, the sides of the hair were pulled back in tiny sections. Each piece was gently twisted and then pinned into place with a bobby pin.
The hair in back was then softly twisted and pinned into an easy, loose bun. For that casual, tousled look, our Model Bride stylist pulled a few pieces around Mara’s face to add softness, touching up with a curling iron as needed.
