FreeMatri conducted a survey of 10,000 youngsters to find what they have to say about wedding customs and ceremonies.
A common question was asked to several guys and gals and it was if wedding ceremonies still hold place in their eyes and if they would want to follow and practice them.
The result of the survey was simply fantastic. Around 50% of them believed in the values taught to them by their elders and said that they have strong faith in their cultural traditions. They told the Freematri team that they would certainly like to preach the same to their coming generations as well what they have imbibed from their parents and elders.
30% of the total persons who took the survey said that there is need to become more flexible and customize the customs and traditions to suit the needs of twenty-first century generation.
While only 20% participants said that according to them, these ceremonial things do not have much of relevance now even in Indian shaadi.
It was good to find out that youth still feels the essence of our age-old wedding ceremonial customs and traditions and only a fraction does not find any place for them.FreeMatri keeps conducting such surveys from time to time to bring forth useful data which helps in reading the minds of new-age generation.
